Hangouts on Android is getting a small, but significant update. The latest version (13.0.16) is rolling out now and it includes a few new features and bug fixes.
The biggest new addition is the ability to share your location with others in a Hangout. To do this, just tap on the "+" button and then select "Location." You can share your current location or a specific place. This is a great way to let others know where you are without having to type it out.
There are also a few other new features and improvements in this update. You can now see when people are typing in a group chat, and there are new animated reactions that you can send. There are also some improvements to video calls, including the ability to see a preview of your video before starting the call.
Finally, there are a few bug fixes in this update. One of the most annoying bugs that has been fixed is the problem with new messages not appearing in the correct order. This update also includes a fix for a crash that could happen when trying to add a contact from your phone's address book.
That's all for this update. Be sure to update to the latest version of Hangouts to get all of these new features and bug fixes.
