Hangouts for Android has been updated to version 12.0. This update includes several bug fixes and improvements, as well as a few new features.
One of the major new features in this update is the ability to see who is online and available to chat. This is indicated by a green dot next to the person's name. You can also see when someone was last active by the timestamp next to their name.
Another new feature is the ability to set a custom ringtone for each person you chat with. This can be done by going into the settings for each person.
Several bugs have been fixed in this update, including a crash that could occur when trying to add a new person to a chat, and a problem with notifications not being shown when using the Do Not Disturb mode.
There are also several performance improvements and tweaks in this update. Overall, this is a solid update that should make Hangouts more stable and reliable.
